Q: What was your most exciting moment as a Principal Ballerina with the National Ballet of Canada (NBC)?

A: A defining highlight was performing Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. This role challenged me to convey profound emotional depth and vulnerability through movement. It was exhilarating to embody such an iconic character and connect deeply with audiences, transcending language and cultural barriers.

Q: What is your most exciting moment as Goh Ballet's Director and Artistic Director?

Watching students evolve into confident and refined artists has been incredibly fulfilling. A standout moment was the debut of the Canadian Masterclass Series, which brought young dancers from diverse backgrounds together to train with world-class mentors. Also – watching the students shine with strong sense of accomplishment at international dance competitions and getting contract offers to realize their dreams. Seeing their achievements, not just in technique but in self-assurance, reaffirms the impact of our mission

Q: What major events are Goh Ballet presenting in 2025?

In 2025, Goh Ballet will continue its tradition of excellence with the return of The Nutcracker (15th anniversary) and the Canadian Masterclass Series. In the spring, we will present Hommage à Petipa, these performances at the Vancouver Playhouse will feature a curated selection of the legendary choreographer’s most iconic works, restaged by the Goh Ballet artistic faculty, demonstrating Petipa’s lasting influence on both dancers and audiences alike. New initiatives include expanded international collaborations and performances, fostering cultural exchange and continuing artistic partnerships with other arts organizations.
