Remembering him as the whimsical little mouse from my own childhood over 30 years ago, I thought she would be delighted by the magic and excitement a talking mouse could bring—and she certainly was! When I asked her how she felt about the performance, she enthusiastically replied, "It was just great!" For those unfamiliar with the story, Stuart Little follows a spirited and adventurous mouse eager to explore the world. Each cast member brought their own vibrant energy to the stage, breathing fresh life into these beloved characters. The set and props were wonderfully designed with the younger audience in mind. Oversized math textbooks, giant clocks, and a backdrop featuring the New York City skyline created a sense of nostalgia for the parents, while heightening the sense of wonder for their children. The overall acting was superb. The cast used animated facial expressions and clear enunciation to engage the younger crowd, ensuring every moment was lively and easy to follow. The songs were also incredibly catchy, keeping the children's attention throughout the show, and the vocals were strong, well-tuned, and perfectly in sync with the joyful atmosphere. If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly activity as the weather continues to improve, why not spend an afternoon at Granville Island? Stuart Little is sure to charm audiences of all ages—you won't be disappointed! ©
