Starring Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker, this psychological horror film is about a family who are confronted by murderous dopelgangers known as "the Tethered".

What came to my mind as I was viewing this film was a parallelism to Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author where the actors mirror the characters. I also thought of Valle Inclan's esperpento in a more horrific sense.

.An audience could also see the zombie-like supernatural element in it, as these tethered characters come from a somewhat sci-fi underground habitat. In fact, the movie opens saying that there are so many underground tunnels in the United States that are abndoned, and from here, director/writer Peele takes this as his breaking ground.

The film combines elements of horror as the tethered ones get killed one at a time. But there's a twist at the end of the show which, naturally I cannot spoil, but rather leave it to the viewer to discover.
