Reviewer Ed Farolan

If you like to have a good cry, go watch this film. The screenplay is by David Aaron Cohen and Elissa Matsueda and it´s based on a true story about the tragic death of star volleyball player Caroline "Line" Found (Danika Yarosh), and how the dispirited team of girls from an Iowa high school used her as their inspiration in hopes of winning the state championship.

There´s a strong cast composed of veteran actors William Hurt as Dr. Ernie Found, Caroline´s father, Helen Hunt as Kathy Bresnahan as the coach, and Erin Moriarty as Kelly, Caroline´s best friend who takes over Caroline´s position as team captain. At the end of the film, during the credits, footage of the real people is screened.

Some critics might consider this a corny tear-jerker, but I enjoyed it. It was well-directed and acted, as well as inspirational. After the preview screening, some of the actors from Vancouver, since some scenes were shot here, and were hired as extras, had a photo session with audience members and the press.
