What a fabulous show! So colourful with all the costumes and so vibrant with that hot Latin fever in the dances, especially the Carnivale from Brazil, the Cha-Cha and Salsa from Cuba. Other vibrant Latin dances such as the tango, and the samba in addition to traditional folkloric routines from Mexico, Panama and Chile steeped in culture and history were performed.,

During the Q&A session after the one-hour extravaganza, Ms Sancez, co-founder with her brother of the group twenty years ago, answered questions about the group. It even won 6th place in the world in one of the dance contests.

What surprised me was a dance from the Eastern Islands of Chile. So similar in song and dance to the Polynesian dances. Sanchez informed us that the National Dance Company of Chile always includes dances from this remote island belonging to Chile.

For those into Latin dance, the group gives free lessons and if you're good, you'll surely be part of the company that tours the world, especially in the United States. Go to grupoamerica.net for more info.
