It was a sold out house at the Orpheum with ABBA fans clapping and dancing to the songs of ABBA: "Dancing Queen", "Chiquitita", "Fernando", Mamma Mia", and others. The Broadway musical Mamma Mia which was made into a film starring Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan put this Swedish group in the top ratings for years.International sensation Arrival from Sweden is the world’s top ABBA tribute band, playing to sold-out houses everywhere they go. It is the only band with exclusive rights to the ABBA name, costumes, and original music, The band also includes original ABBA band members Finn Sjöberg on guitar and Roger Palm on drums.

You could have sworn you were hearing the original songs being sung by the original group. This sellout show featuring one hit after another got the die-hard ABBA fans applauding and dancing, and the VSO went along with the band. There was no interval, except for a few comments from Vicky Zetterberg, the founder of the group. Arrival from Sweden simply gave us a two-hour delightful show with ABBA hits, a real night of nostalgia where the appreciative crowd had the time of their lives.

I saw a lot of Mexican/Spanish influence in the tunes of ABBA, especially "Fernando" and "Chiquitita". Even the titles are Spanish, and it was interesting how the ABBA composers might have picked up the tunes and lyrics from Spain or Mexico. I liked .how the show opened with the sound of a helicopter arriving and spotlights moving around the theatre. The audience was amused with this..

Arrival From Sweden is the world's most popular and top-selling ABBA show band, and since its start in 1995, the band has toured over 35 nations and appeared in several TV and radio shows all over the world. It's the world’s greatest ABBA tribute show and "THE MUSIC OF ABBA" tours the world together with original ABBA musicians. It's also the only group with the exclusive rights to copy ABBA's original outfits, and with exclusive permission to use the ABBA trademark..
