The sequel to the films Purge (2013) and The First Purge (2018) will be televised starting September 4th in a series of 10 episodes at Blumhouse TV and Universal Cable. For those who´ve watched both films, these episodes continue where the story left off in the 2013 film.

The First Purge which was recently shown goes back to a social experiment where the New Founding Fathers of America (perhaps aiming at Trump?) look to push the crime rate down to one per cent a year. The experiment is tested in Saten Island where anyone is allowed, within 24 hours, to commit acts of violence including murder.

In the 2013 film, it had become nationwide. For one day a year, the "purge" is allowed. It has started to become an American tradition. For those who love violence, or merely for entertainment, this dystopic sci-fi could be interesting, despite all the horror and violence involved. The film and its sequels are rated R.
