This film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York recently and was nominated for Best Film. It stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the title role and multi-award rapper songwriter and singer Common. Winstead plays a stand-up comedian whose personal life is a disaster, rooted in parental abuse during her childhood. In a number of interviews, director and screen writer Eva Vives said that the film is partly based on her life when she fled from Madrid to come to New York because of the sexual abuse she suffered from her father who eventually committed suicide in 2003.

I liked the film, and Winstead fit the part to the T. She´s a damned good actress. The film got a lot of favourable reviews.
