This delightfully thrilling tale of a mysterious house where things, including the inhabitants, are not what they seem to be,arrives on Digital on November 27, 2018, as well as on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand on December 18, 2018. Based on the classic children’s book, this is a funny but at the same time scary film for both children and adults. The funny part is of course Jack Black who is famkous for his comedic roles. Versatile British actress Cate Blanchett also stars in the film together with Owen Vaccaro who plays the nephew of Jack Black, and the arch-enemy, Isaac Izzard (Kyle MachLachlan).

In this story, Lewis Barnavelt (Vaccaro) goes to live with his Uncle Jonathan (Black) in a creaky and creepy mansion with an eerie tick-tocking heart. But when Lewis soon finds out he’s in the presence of magic practiced by his uncle and neighbor Mrs. Zimmerman (Blanchett), his new town’s dreary aura boosts to life in an exciting and dangerous way.

Bonus features in this DVD include behind the scenes look at Vaccaro's casting, the dynamism of Black, a discussion of Cate Blanchett's performance, Kyle MacLachlan's creepy evolution from living icon to undead-warlock, and others.
