The Scotiabank Dance Centre was jampacked during the noon one-hour show by the The JC Dance Co. which showcased the glamour and skill of Ballroom and Latin dance.
The audience was enthralled, and comments like "wow" were heard especially after the Russian competition couple Tripunov and Vasyenska danced the tango and pasadoble to the delight of the audience.
Another part of the programme was the husband and wife team, owners of JC Dance Co. and former Ballroom champions Joel Marasigan and Clara Shih who gave us a taste of how the waltz should be danced, from basics to the more advanced competitive moves.
Joel Marasigan, in-between the different dances, made commentaries and introduced the various selection of classic as well as modern ballroom dancing including the Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba and Jive.
There was even a dance performed by the students to the tune of Madonna's singing which Marasigan classified as modern cha-cha.
The Finale was the best part, where everyone danced the tango in excellent sync. The audience left the centre feeling satisfied with the quality of dance by this company considered one of the best, if not the best here in Western Canada.
